What is TableTennisBlogs.com?
TableTennisBlogs.com has been set up to help promote Table Tennis. Very simply TableTennisBlogs.com enables Towns, Leagues, Clubs to easily publish their Table Tennis related news stories and with very little computer technical knowledge required.
Why do we need it?
As a keen Table Tennis player over the years I have been very aware how other mainstream sports such as Football, Rugby, Tennis and even snooker receive far more press and publicity than our own sport. Much of this is to do with the professional nature of these sports, advertising and the money available. TableTennisBlogs.com gives all of us involved with Table Tennis the chance to get our stories out there and publish the news we are making. Now we can all be in the spotlight with match reports, pictures and videos that can all be easily publicised to recognise local achievements and to encourage people to take part in our great sport.
I remember trying to find out about Table Tennis in our area many years ago and it was quite a challenge. Table Tennis has gone some way to embrace Internet advances with Websites but quite often these are managed by a few gifted (and busy) individuals and sadly become out of date and ineffective as a means of communication. Usually we rely on a relatively small group of people sometimes just one to hold everything together for our leagues. TableTennisBlogs.com removes the dependence on a single person to manage the website and keeps the information flowing. Now you can share the work load because it really is as easy as typing a letter, literally anyone could do it!
If we are to attract young people back into our sport then we need to embrace the modern Internet technologies that the kids of today are all using and talk to them in their language!
How can TableTennisBlogs.com work for you?
TableTennisBlogs.com provides a single contact place to find out about what is going on with Table Tennis in your area. TableTennisBlogs.com makes communication very easy. Once everyone knows where to look everything can be found in the one place.
I know our local league often send out emails to notify us of upcoming events. Compared to the number of players the Email list is pretty short and often requires updating. Not everyone has an email address either! Using the TableTennisBlogs.com concept the information can be posted centrally and everyone can read it and there is no hassle with email addresses.
Nowadays with Smart phones and digital cameras accessible to most of us it has never been easier to collect pictures and video to compliment our sporting endeavours. TableTennisBlogs.com gives us the platform to expose our sport to a much wider audience.
Kids and adults love to be recognised and the thrill of seeing themselves and showing others their favourite sport will keep the stories, pictures and video coming in!!

"Here is a real chance to use modern technology and provide the platform for regular table tennis players to share their local news, photos and videos much more effectively then ever before. The wider availability of information will hopefuly lead to increased participation in the sport and greater levels of achievement."
